N is for nature. This post is dedicated to the beauty of nature and the inspiration that I draw from it.

M
Today was a busy day at the park with friends of the 2-legged and 4-legged varieties. I didn't focus very hard on my project today so I was resigned to the fact that I had missed a day. I was pleasantly surprised while editing my photos from the day that I did indeed have some M's.

This project will be so much easier when I repeat it this summer with flowers, but there is no turning back now! After a bit of a debate with my five-year-old about what letter the word knife starts with, I was able to capture a few photos that work for today's letter.

J
I spent the afternoon with an old friend today. It is so much fun to get everyone involved in my project. We walked around looking for "J's", but had little success. My friend came up with jeans, my husband came up with jack-o-lantern, and my daughter came up with jug. Pretty boring subjects, but fun to photograph none-the-less. The only one that was completely unsuccessful was the jug. The rest were kind of unique photos, but I still wasn't too satisfied with what I had to share. Just when I was about to give up "jelly" popped into my head and provided me with some satisfaction. Enjoy!

I
I like the letter "I". Ice cream starts with "I". My daughter and I HAD to take a walk to the local ice cream parlor for some super yummy ice cream just so I could take a picture of it. Not much else starts with the letter "I", but why should the letter complain when it gets to grace the most delicious word ever? Yep, "I" is a lucky letter. Of course, those of us who are fortunate enough to live near Olson's Ice Cream Parlor are even luckier! But since you didn't come here to "listen" to me babble, on with the pictures!

I got quite a variety of subjects today. I love that my daughter now runs around the house each day looking for things that start with the letter of the day. I am getting practice and new perspective while she works on spelling!

G
Today started out slow but finished strong. We made it out of the house to take a nature hike and I managed to capture a few G's. The first photo I took was just a silly one of my dog. I had no intention of using it in today's post, but when I was editing I realized that the look on her face was quite simply "glad". She was so happy to be playing in the sun and chasing her ball. The rest are pretty self-explanatory.

Today was much colder than the past few days, but at least my family and I had the opportunity to take a walk. It was a brisk, clear day and although the "F's" didn't seem to flow freely, I managed to capture some photos that I am pretty happy to share. I was back outside, in my comfort zone, and my camera was happy to get some fresh air. I hope you can feel the sun on your face and the breeze in your hair when you look at these.

Talk about stepping out of my comfort zone! This project is really forcing me to shoot subjects that I would never do as well as use lighting that is a photographer's worst nightmare. I am posting photos that I would ordinarily file in the recycle bin, but I am determined to complete this project. Change is good, at least that is what I try and tell people all the time so I figure that even the worst photos I take will help me improve my skills. Right? Humor me here and please don't judge me for my daily photos. Once this is all over I will be a better photographer. Enough rambling. Here are my "E's"!

Why are some letters so easy to find pictures for while others aren't? Oh well.... Here are some D's!

Because I am feeling a little under-the-weather today, I decided to search for "C's" in my house. I found an abundance of them and was able to practice capturing natural light in my house.
